Hi, I’m Lily

Once upon a time

doing what I love...!

I started my career as an entrepreneur, founding a social enterprise for mental health storytelling while I was still in university training to be an environmental scientist.

My life moved in an unexpected direction when I set foot in the Scottish Storytelling Centre for the first time. I was there to host the very first Real Talk event and discovered that being a professional storyteller was, well, a thing. 9-year old Lily, with her head stuck in an entire anthology of 240+ Grimm’s Fairytales, jumped for joy.

I embarked on an apprenticeship in oral traditional storytelling alongside being a business owner, some days finding myself giving a talk on entrepreneurship with Red Bull, then next telling Welsh myths in a field at Green Man Festival.

But throughout this process, I uncovered myself. Someone with the ability to walk between and weave different worlds - business, science, arts - and to not only adapt but to thrive in different contexts. Someone who knows how to shake things up by bringing ritual to business, methodology to storytelling, and creative expression to evidence.

A woman with short dark hair and tattoos sitting cross-legged on a grey lounge chair with a laptop, smiling. There is a black suitcase, a yellow mug with a face, and a notebook on top of the suitcase. The setting is a dimly lit room with dark walls, hanging Edison bulbs, and a chandelier.

What has ensued, I like to call a peregrination.

My journey has brought me across continents and to playing an active role in a variety of purpose-led organizations. It’s been an honor to spend years designing and holding spaces where people come alive. I’ve built and led communities from the ground up, facilitated international training programmes, performed and toured original storytelling work across Europe, and partnered with organisations spanning entrepreneurship, education, health, and social change. Along the way, I’ve developed a rare blend of skills - strategic thinking grounded in lived experience, deep attunement to people and group dynamics, and the practical ability to turn vision into something real, relational, and impactful.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief, when people are invited to show up fully, with clarity, care, and imagination, transformation becomes possible. Whether I’m shaping a digital community, facilitating a group process, or telling a story by firelight or on stage, my aim is the same. To create spaces that feel intentional, human, and alive. Spaces where insight can land, connection can deepen, and something new can begin.

Storytelling is an art form in its own right and as a performance maker, I have developed work that I have toured across Europe. Alongside this I have a rich participatory storytelling practice, where I empower others to find and express their voices and stories.

Providing a container for growth or transformation is one of my life’s callings. I love people and I love what happens when we put them together in a room with intention, whether online or in person. Whether  5 people or 500, I'm ready to dream into holding the right space.

You already know the power of bringing people together, but translating that spark into an online space that’s alive, participatory, and purposeful? That takes strategy, creativity, and consistency.

I work with mission-driven teams and programmes to design, launch, and activate online communities that reflect your purpose and move your people.
